NEW YORK, Oct 30, 2026 — Self-custodial neofinance platform Tria today launched Agentic Trading, a feature that lets users connect AI agents, including Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, to automated perpetual futures trading on Hyperliquid and Decibel through the Tria Trade SDK.
Funds stay in the user's existing Tria account instead of being moved to a separate wallet controlled by the AI. Users create dedicated trading keys that can open and close positions but cannot withdraw funds. Keys can be set to expire, agent activity can be monitored in the app, and access can be revoked at any time.
Tria gives the example of a trader who defines entry and exit conditions in advance, such as opening a Bitcoin position at a chosen price and closing it at a target, without having to watch charts. The company says the feature was built in response to requests from users of its private beta. "Traders in our private beta have been asking for this capability," said Vijit Katta, Co-Founder and CEO of Tria.
Tria cites an April 2026 Investing.com survey that found 62% of U.S. retail investors had used AI for investment decisions, while only 4.5% of those experimenting with AI used automated trading algorithms. The release also states that AI-assisted trading does not guarantee profits, that trade-only permissions do not prevent trading losses, and that perpetual futures carry substantial risk, including the loss of collateral.
Tria is a self-custodial neofinance platform with more than 600,000 users. It combines trading and other financial services in one app, allowing users to manage digital assets while keeping control of their funds.
