Polygon Labs has extended its Open Money Stack payment infrastructure to Solana, allowing businesses on that network to connect bank accounts, digital wallets, cross-chain transfers and global payouts through a single integration, crypto.news reported on Oct. 29.

Once funds enter the system, companies can move them between Solana and networks including Polygon, Ethereum, TRON and several EVM-compatible chains. Firms can keep their products on Solana and use either the full stack or individual components.

Fintech company Kira, which serves fintechs, OTC desks and import brokers, is among the first Solana adopters. Co-founder and CEO Edrizio De La Cruz said Kira already uses Solana for stablecoin transfers but needs banking connections to deliver funds to clients, and that Polygon helps turn those transfers into dollars in client bank accounts. Kira was earlier named alongside Tazapay, Mesh and Toku as an early Open Money Stack customer.

Licences from Coinme

The stack builds on Polygon's acquisition of Coinme, which brought 37 state money transmitter licences and 11 applicable exemptions covering 48 US states. Polygon added TRON support, including USDT deposits and transfers, on Oct. 8.

Polygon Foundation co-founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal said adding Solana means more businesses can build on the network their customers choose. Solana Foundation chief product officer Vibhu Norby said Solana has handled more than $5 trillion in stablecoin volume during 2026, while Polygon Labs puts cumulative stablecoin transfer volume on Polygon Chain above $3 trillion.

The move shows Polygon positioning its payments business as chain-neutral, selling licensed fiat connections rather than only blockspace on its own network. It also ties together two ecosystems that compete for stablecoin flows. In September, former Polygon Labs executive Jamal Raees was appointed general manager of payments at the Solana Foundation.
