Crypto.com and OG.com have launched crypto perpetual futures for eligible US traders, offering up to 5x leverage on contracts with no expiry date, according to FinanceFeeds and Startup Fortune. The product went live on Oct. 27 and covers bitcoin, ether, solana, Hyperliquid's HYPE, zcash and sei.
Retail customers can trade the contracts in the Crypto.com app, while institutional and advanced users access them through the Crypto.com Exchange. Traders can go long or short, use isolated margin, and set take-profit and stop-loss orders. Startup Fortune reported that only US dollar cash is accepted as collateral. At maximum leverage, $200 of margin controls a position of about $1,000.
The contracts are listed by North American Derivatives Exchange, which operates under the Crypto.com | Derivatives North America and OG.com brands and is registered with the CFTC as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization. An affiliated futures commission merchant carries customer accounts, and Crypto.com is registered with the National Futures Association as an introducing broker.
A crowded new market
Regulated perpetuals are a recent arrival for US retail traders. The CFTC approved the first federally regulated bitcoin perpetual futures on May 29, clearing the way for Kalshi and Coinbase Financial Markets, Startup Fortune noted. Kraken followed in June with CFTC-regulated perpetuals offered through Kraken Pro. Startup Fortune counts Crypto.com as the fourth major platform in the category.
The product targets a large global market: perpetual futures generated more than $60 trillion in trading volume in 2025, according to FinanceFeeds. OG.com has also proposed cash-settled single-stock perpetuals that would trade 24 hours a day, five days a week.
In its announcement on X, Crypto.com noted that leverage amplifies losses as well as potential gains. Startup Fortune pointed out that at 5x, a 20% move against a position would wipe out the initial margin even before funding payments, fees or maintenance requirements are counted. The launch arrived days before the Binance hack drove crypto liquidations above $1.5 billion, a reminder of how quickly leveraged positions can unwind.
