CME Group reported record third-quarter revenue of $1.7373 billion on October 21, up from $1.5376 billion a year earlier, a rise of roughly 13%. The exchange operator's average daily volume across all products was about 29.4 million contracts, and market-data revenue came to $243 million, according to the earnings release as reported by NewsBTC.
The figures are company-wide. CME did not separately identify crypto revenue in the results or break out its contribution to the increase, so the share of growth tied to digital-asset products cannot be determined from the release. Market-data revenue and overall trading volume also contributed to the quarter, but the release does not tie either figure to specific crypto contracts.
CME has been expanding its crypto offering. Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures were scheduled to launch on October 19 in standard and Micro sizes, subject to regulatory review, under a plan announced on September 22. In that announcement, the exchange said its crypto futures and options averaged 279,800 contracts a day in the first half of 2026, equal to $8.3 billion in notional value.
